Vintage dioramas! Flashy cast pictures!
Details at local retailers and in the October Diamond Previews Catalog
San Diego, CA
(September 27, 2011)—Proving that a picture really is worth a
thousand words, IDW Publishing today announced “Photo Cover
Month,” a month-long celebration featuring fun,
out-of-the-box photo covers for many of IDW’s most popular
series. Readers should look for the “Photo Cover Month”
badge next to participating IDW comics in the October issue of
Diamond Previews, in stores on Wednesday.
“I mean, who didn’t grow up building JOE or
TRANSFORMERS dioramas,” asked IDW’s Hasbro editor,
John Barber. “This December, IDW is helping
our readers relive those glory days, plus much more!”
IDW’S “Photo Cover Month” spans the comic
spectrum, from vintage action figure dioramas to awesome cast
photos, from COBRA to TRUE BLOOD, and from DOCTOR WHO to
TRANSFORMERS. Each participating comic will feature one regular
photo cover, plus a drawn cover. The photo covers vary from
souped-up cast images to classic toy action shots. The complete
list of participating comics is below. While many covers are
included in the Diamond Previews catalog, IDW will be releasing
more images throughout October.
